Shay Elmakies

Shay completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During his M.Sc. project, conducted in the environmental chemistry lab at the Casali Center for Applied Chemistry, he focused on the synthesis of manganese oxide catalysts for manganese and arsenic removal from water, under the supervision of Prof. Ovadia Lev.

He has since joined Prof. Noked's group as a Ph.D. student, where his research focuses on non-alkaline Zn-based batteries.
